You will be part of HVDC within Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, lands and sea cable systems.

As Manager for MACH R&D Operations you will build up a new team and function within the MACH R&D organization. This team will be responsible for the implementation of Lean/Agile development and the execution of agreed initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • In this role you will have the responsibilities of a first line manager
  • Lead the MACH R&D Operations team which will be responsible for the implementation of Lean/Agile development and the execution of agreed initiatives
  • Responsibility for Product Owners in MACH R&D
  • Coach and support your team members, as a team and individually
  • Plan team composition, individual development and competences needed to meet business needs, in alignment with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure quality output and take ownership of team’s delivery and monitor process adherence as well as leading continuous improvement efforts within your team.

Your background

  • The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in engineering, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience within product development/engineering
  • Strong proficiency in English, written and spoken alike, is a requirement in this role
  • Knowledge in Swedish is considered an advantage
  • Experience in Agile/Lean R&D and Scaled Agile framework (SAFe)
  • Prior managerial experience is beneficial
