The role We are looking for an Associate Art Director to join the team working on Exoborne. In this role, you will support the Art Director in implementing and maintaining the visual identity of the game while collaborating with internal and external teams to elevate the overall quality of the player experience. As part of the Content Department, you will work closely with directors, leads, and development teams to ensure that our worlds, maps, and environments support gameplay, reinforce the IP, and deliver a strong player fantasy. You will collaborate with the Art Director, Chief Creative Officer, and Game Director to help align artistic direction with the overall vision of the game. We believe you are passionate about creating immersive worlds and gameplay-driven environments. You are highly collaborative, communicative, and capable of balancing creative ambition with production realities. Responsibilities Support the Art Director in implementing and maintaining the visual direction of the game. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure visual quality and artistic consistency across worlds, maps, and environments. Drive artistic projects, setting a vision and communicating it to the teams. Review in-progress assets and deliverables, providing clear and actionable feedback to teams. Partner closely with directors, leads, and feature owners to align artistic goals across disciplines. Regularly communicate progress, risks, and production needs to the Art Director and stakeholders. Support and guide teams, leads, and feature owners to ensure alignment, quality and informed decision-making within your area. Contribute to planning and tracking through relevant goals and metrics (OKRs/KPIs). Act as a role model in craft and collaboration contributing to the broader product leadership culture. Requirements Proven leadership capabilities either as lead, craft lead, feature owner or people manager. Experience in one or more area relevant to the role, preferably concept art and design. Experience collaborating across art, design, and technical disciplines. You are a great communicator, with proven experience, that loves to collaborate within your team and across disciplines. Extensive game art production experience, including 2 years of successful experience in a lead or director role. Please note that relocation support is not offered for this position. Good to have Experience in public speaking engagements. Previous product and/or game launches. Experience contributing to creative vision, strategy, or long-term artistic direction. WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop concepts for still and motion campaigns, including mood boards, visual research, layout direction, and narrative structure Lead creative projects from ideation to execution, ensuring brand alignment and marketing goals Select and collaborate with photographers, directors, set designers, and other creative partners; manage talent rosters Direct on set to maintain creative standards and achieve high-quality results Oversee post-production, including image selection, retouching feedback, and grading for e-commerce and campaign assets Collaborate with Graphic Design on marketing materials like newsletters, invites, ads, and social media content Establish creative guidelines, templates, and briefs for cross-department use Ensure consistent adherence to the brand's visual identity across all channels Manage asset sharing and maintain visibility of upcoming releases Lead shoot planning, including concept development, casting, photographer research, shot lists, and pre-production ARE YOU THE ONE? We are now looking for an Area Director The Meta Area focuses on the systems that frame, support, and deepen the player experience. This includes progression, systems design, narrative structures, UI and UX, and other meta layers that shape long term engagement and player value across the game. As an Area Director, you will lead cross discipline work across multiple feature teams. You will work closely with an Area Producer and the Team Owners within your Area, providing high level vision, direction, and goals while ensuring teams are set up to deliver their best work. This role is suited for someone with strong experience as a Senior or Expert in Game Design, Systems Design, Narrative Design, and or UI or UX design. Experience with monetization, backend systems, or board or roleplaying game design is a strong bonus. What you'll do: Uphold the vision for the Meta Area by providing a clear and widely understood road ahead. Inspire teams with vision, strategy, and long term goals that align with the overall game direction. Guide the creative direction across the Area for both live updates and mid term arcs, ensuring features are engaging, meaningful, and aligned with Arrowhead’s way of making games. Provide direction through briefs, goals, targets, and continuous follow up, ensuring execution stays aligned with vision, player value, and product goals. Approve deliverables within the Area, ensuring acceptable quality, vision alignment, and player experience standards across all facets of development. Experience leading or guiding teams, with the ability to provide direction without needing to be the authoritative expert in every part of the work. Strong communication skills, able to align teams, stakeholders, and the wider studio around a shared vision.
