Viscaria står inför något som är ovanligt i dagens gruvindustri – att starta upp en underjordsgruva på nytt.  Koppargruvan i Kiruna ska nu tas i drift i ny regi, och bolaget befinner sig i en expansiv fas där både anläggning och arbetssätt byggs upp parallellt. Idag finns seniora medarbetare på plats, med en tydlig ambition att bygga en tekniskt stark organisation från grunden och där kompetens och erfarenhet får stort genomslag i hur verksamheten formas. Gruvan beräknas vara i produktion inom två år, och bergteknikgruppen – som tillhör avdelningen Gruvbrytning – kommer att vara en central del i det arbetet. Om rollen och gruppen Du blir en del av bergteknikgruppen, som i dagsläget är under uppbyggnad. Gruppen arbetar brett inom både bergteknik och bergmekanik, med ett tydligt ansvar för att ta fram, utveckla och implementera de arbetssätt som krävs för en säker och effektiv produktion. Rollen innebär ett operativt och tekniskt ansvar där du arbetar med: Kartering och skadekartering under jord Framtagning av bergförstärkningsanvisningar Analys och optimering av brytsekvenser, inklusive förståelse för det mekaniska beteendet i berget Numeriska och analytiska beräkningar Arbetet sker i nära samarbete med både ingenjörer och produktion, där du bidrar till att säkerställa att tekniska beslut håller hög kvalitet samtidigt som de är praktiskt genomförbara. En viktig del av uppdraget är också att vara med och etablera rutiner och strukturer – och därefter se till att de fungerar i verkligheten. Det innebär att du inte bara tar fram metodik, utan även följer upp, justerar och anpassar den utifrån hur verksamheten faktiskt utvecklas. Din arbetsvardag Arbetet präglas av variation. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Engineer to join our Product Portfolio Management team. You will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle, requirements, configuration, and roadmap for the solutions in the Control Engineering discipline. This role is embedded within the Engineering function, ensuring close collaboration to deliver business relevance. Location is Västerås, Sweden. How you’ll make an impact Translate market and engineering needs into Product Requirement Specifications and drive the roadmap in coordination with the Global Product Manager and Global Product Specialist. Facilitate smooth implementation of new technologies within the Control Engineering discipline. Prioritize and drive strategic improvement in the current Control Platforms. Lead the development and implementation of modular Control Engineering solutions. Monitor solutions and provide guidance in tenders and projects to ensure knowledge transfer and feedback-driven improvements across global Control teams. Oversee the lifecycle of Control Engineering solutions and deliverables. Your Background Hold an M.Sc. in Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems, Control System, automatic control theory, software engineering or similar. 10+ years of experience in Power Systems in the fields of Control Applications, HMI, SCADA, Network and Cyber Security. Strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities. Experience working with diverse and cross-functional teams. Proven experience in product management is highly desirable. Strategic and operational mindset with a focus on business productivity and efficiency. Fluency in English both written and spoken. The opportunity We are embarking on a transformation journey to shift from delivering projects only to building modern, well‑defined product‑based systems. In this role, you’ll help create cutting‑edge solutions for platforms that integrate Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) at HVDC. These platforms are the foundation our global project teams rely on. Your main focus will be the OT domain, where Human–Machine Interfaces (HMIs), OT applications, gateway stations, and communication with control systems reside. With your strong development background, you will help design and develop OT and HMI application components that can serve as reusable platform building blocks while still meeting project‑specific requirements. These components are essential for optimizing project effort and are mandatory for delivering the required functionality to our customers with high quality. You’ll document your solutions and support testing to ensure project teams are equipped with the correct implementations when delivering to customers. Working at the intersection of IT and OT, you’ll tackle real challenges, build scalable application components, and influence how we innovate and collaborate.
