The Electrical Valve Design department is part of HVDC Products at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. We are globally responsible for the electrical design and technical requirements of semiconductor-based HVDC and SVC valves, as well as advanced current measurement solutions for HVDC applications. HVDC valves are critical components used to convert AC to DC (and vice versa), enabling long-distance and high-capacity power transmission. SVC valves are used to support and stabilize AC power systems. In addition, we design digital optical instrument transformers—state-of-the-art, compact current measurement devices tailored for HVDC systems. These are used across the HVDC system to protect valves against overcurrent and earth faults, as well as for harmonic measurement and filter supervision. Our department in Sweden consists of approximately 45 highly skilled engineers and managers, and we work in close collaboration with our design teams in India and China. Beyond project and tender execution, we play a key role in product development, lifecycle management, and technical support for upgrades and service projects. The Electrical Valve Design department is a part of Hitachi Energy HVDC Products in Ludvika. We as a department are globally responsible for electrical design and requirements of semiconductors based HVDC and SVC valves. HVDC valves are used to convert AC to DC, and vice versa, and are essential for HVDC power transmissions. SVC valves are used in SVC systems, to support and stabilize AC systems. We also are responsible for designing digital optical instrument transducers. These are state of the art and compact current measuring instruments suited specifically for HVDC applications. These current measuring instruments are used in different parts of an HVDC system, such as measuring the valve current to protect it against overcurrents and earth faults. It is also used for measuring harmonics and filter supervision. The Electrical Valve Design department in Sweden consists of 38 employees including the managers. We also have electrical design departments in India and China, who we work in close collaboration with. Our department is not only responsible for tenders and project deliveries, but also for productification of new valve solutions, life cycle management and provide technical support in upgrades & service projects. We are super excited to announce that Olivia, Manjunath, Stefan and Magnus are looking to welcome their next colleague to Voyados Information Technology team. You’ll sit at the intersection of infrastructure, business impact and AI, helping us evolve how we run, scale and rethink our internal systems – while also shaping how AI is adopted and used across the organisation. This is an interim role starting in August, for approximately 6 months, and we are also open to consultant setups. Some of the things you'll be up to: You’ll play a key role in helping us take the next step in our AI journey – from exploration to real impact across the business. We are still early in this journey, which means you won’t just work with defined use cases – you’ll help find, shape and drive them. Review our current IT landscape, identifying opportunities to optimize, replace or build smarter internal solutions with clear ROI. Work closely with teams across the organisation to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions. Especially in areas like: internal tooling, support automation and revenue enablement (data enrichment, sales workflows and insights) Bridge between business and tech, work closely with teams to understand needs and translate them into streamlined AI supported workflows Improve and automate IT operations and infrastructure (e.g. onboarding, access management, Entra ID) while enabling teams to become more AI driven through guidance and knowledge sharing.
