The Opportunity Hitachi Energy, Components is seeking a Main Planner to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our production planners, operational buyers, sales and order team to ensure that we optimize our capacity over multiple production lines creating most possible customer value. You will play a key role in developing and implementing best-practice routines, be a part of our company’s sales and operation planning. How you will make an impact Publish and maintain accurate lead times in relevant planning systems and tools Optimize planning across production lines by balancing workload based on consolidated customer demand Monitor delivery performance and proactively identify and address deviations, with daily and weekly reporting to management Establish a structured approach to demand forecasting in close collaboration with sales team and internal transformer factories. Coordinate planning activities for large and complex projects. Create and maintain a structured approach for capacity reservation. Define and implement planning principles Act as a backup resource and coach for our planning teams Your background Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience involving production planning. Strong expertise in SAP and advanced proficiency in materials planning and scheduling. Proven ability to see the big picture, not looking at one process but rather on how several processes interact and see opportunities for improvement and setting best practices from a company perspective. About the role: This is a unique opportunity to shape a global demand planning capability in a growing aftermarket business, where your work directly impacts customer experience and commercial performance. You will play an important role in strengthening and aligning demand planning ways of working across our global organization, helping stakeholders navigate change as processes, tools, and forecasting capabilities continue to evolve. You will drive planning across a 24-month rolling horizon, ensuring high forecast accuracy and actively managing bias. A key focus will be to continuously and strategically improve our system-driven forecasting models and strengthen how we work with data, while proactively identifying deviations and driving actions based on trends and insights. You will also play an important role in performance management and continuous improvement by defining and monitoring key KPIs and using insights to support decision-making. You will help translate demand patterns into clear business recommendations and drive initiatives to further enhance our forecasting methods, tools, and processes globally. In addition, you will lead, coach, and develop a growing team of six demand planners, building strong capabilities within forecasting, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration. Your skills and background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or equivalent Experience within demand planning, forecasting and supply chain planning Experience driving transformation initiatives as well as working in cross-functional and international environments handling different stakeholders Proven ability to lead people and develop teams Strong analytical capability and confidence working with data and KPIs Experience with advanced planning systems and solid Excel skills Experience from aftermarket, spare parts, or complex product structures is a strong advantage. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge in Swedish is considered an advantage Location This position will be based in Huskvarna, Sweden. As Head of Project Steering, you will have functional responsibility for your area across the Business Area. You will represent your function in customer discussions, support project teams and collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to create the conditions for successful project delivery. This is not a traditional line management role with personnel responsibility. Instead, you will lead through expertise, collaboration and influence, helping projects succeed through strong functional support, capability building and cross-functional teamwork. Together with the Operational Development team, you will contribute to delivering some of the largest industrial projects in the Nordics and play an important role in supporting successful project outcomes across the Business Area. The Role and Key Responsibilities As Head of Project Steering, you will lead the development, governance and continuous improvement of project governance structures, decision-making frameworks and steering models across NCC Green Industry Transformation. You will play a central role in strengthening project delivery capabilities across the Business Area by ensuring that projects are established with the right prerequisites, governed consistently and supported by effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. The role spans the full project lifecycle. You will contribute to early customer dialogue and project development discussions, lead the continued development of the Project Steering function and its specialists, and ensure governance, assurance and continuous improvement throughout project execution. Through your functional leadership, you will help establish common ways of working, strengthen project delivery and support successful project outcomes across the Business Area. Working as part of the Operational Development team, you will play a key role in implementing and continuously improving the Strategic Execution Model (SEM) – the common framework that defines how projects are established, governed, executed and followed up across the Business Area. The position can be based in any of NCC’s Nordic locations. The role involves frequent travel across the Nordic region to support projects, stakeholders and business activities. You will: Define and govern project governance structures, steering models and decision-making frameworks across the Business Area Support early project development and customer discussions from a project governance perspective Establish and develop project readiness, stage-gate and execution assurance processes Lead the onboarding, development and capability building of specialists within the Project Steering function Act as a key integrator between governance, planning, cost, risk and quality functions Identify governance deviations and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives Your experience and background We believe you are an experienced functional leader with the ability to build capabilities, develop people and drive change in complex project environments. You bring solid expertise in your field, but your greatest strength lies in your ability to translate knowledge into practical ways of working, create engagement and help others succeed. You are a strong communicator and facilitator who enjoys coaching specialists, developing individuals and teams, and helping organisations adopt new methods, standards and ways of working by creating understanding, engagement and commitment. You have experience working in large and complex organisations and are comfortable working across functions, disciplines and stakeholder groups. You influence through expertise, communication and trust rather than formal authority, and combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
