As our GCoC Power Quality, Global Field Operation Manager for GPQS in Västerås you will lead a skilled and engaged team of Field engineers, responsible for driving, implementing and executing Field Operation strategy for GCoC Power Quality market globally. This is a role where your coordination and collaboration skills will really come to hand while continuously monitor project progress, resources, costs and processes in a fast-paced and exciting environment. To be successful in this role you are a grounded person who can process multiple inputs and transform them into priorities and actions. You have excellent communication skills and are used to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment. How you´ll make an impact: Manage a team of Installation supervisors, Commissioning Engineers and coordinators, including recruitment and training. Maintain high-quality deliverables and execution per project plans. Plan globally short-term and long-term activities for Power Quality field operations. Ensure effective interfaces between departments and customers. Drive localization strategy with our Regions. Oversee existing processes and identify new ones as needed. Ensure effective tender work for Field Operations scope. Implement management strategy and continuous improvement projects. Your background: You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous development in both short and long term, with experience of driving change management in previous roles. As a person you are flexible, solutions-oriented and have great focus on quality and safety. Production Manager Responsibilities: Lead, motivate, and develop the team to maximize their potential. Provide training, succession planning, and performance monitoring to ensure a highly skilled workforce aligned with company goals. Develop and implement annual operating plans and budgets, optimize plant productivity, manage resources efficiently, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet business objectives and customer expectations. Oversee process design, review PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances, participate in hazard analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards for operational efficiency and safety. Identify opportunities for process improvements, assess and integrate new technologies, implement quality management systems, and optimize plant efficiency with cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to develop strategies minimizing plant downtime while ensuring smooth and sustainable operations. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, manage budgets and procurement processes to optimize cost control, and maintain continuous plant operations. Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with strong knowledge of DRI plant operations, metallurgy, thermodynamics, kinetics, and fluid dynamics. Extensive leadership experience in high-demand industrial environments, preferably in HBI/HDRI production, greenfield projects, startups, or commissioning. Strong understanding of process optimization, ISO systems (9001/14001/45001), and industry regulations to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. Keen analytical abilities, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and exemplary technical writing skills to support decision-making and documentation. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with fluency in English; basic Swedish is an advantage.
