Senior Product Manager

Through smart optimization and trading of energy assets like wind and solar farms, battery systems, and EV chargers, we make renewable energy reliable and predictable, leading the charge towards the energy system of tomorrow. 🌟 Who We Are Tech company at heart. By embracing varying perspectives, we allow creativity and progress to flourish. To accelerate towards our goal of becoming the pioneering force powering the energy system of tomorrow, we are now looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Product Manager. 👩‍💻 About The Role We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to act as a force multiplier across Flower’s product portfolio. You won’t own a single backlog. You’ll shape the bets we make, set product direction, and raise the standard of how we decide what to build - across prediction, optimization, trading, and platform capabilities. You’ll work closely with engineers, energy market experts, and commercial teams - not to coordinate their work, but to sharpen it. The energy transition is one of the defining infrastructure challenges in Europe. This is a chance to shape it from the inside. Our optimization engine allocates battery capacity across energy and balancing markets, prices flexibility against its opportunity cost, and dispatches assets in real time as conditions shift. You’ll help shape what this system becomes: which capabilities to build, how to sequence them across markets and geographies, and where to make deliberate bets versus where to stay disciplined. We use a Shape Up-inspired methodology - fixed cycles, cool-down weeks, co-shaped pitches with defined appetite. We chose this because you can’t build a world-class optimization engine by spreading effort across everything at once. What You’ll Do Shape product bets. Find the highest-leverage problems, frame them clearly, and define what a good solution looks like - then leave room for the team to figure out how. Own outcomes, not outputs. You’re accountable for whether initiatives deliver measurable business value. Bring commercial context to technical decisions. Spend real time with traders and commercial teams, then translate that understanding into better product choices. Collaborate deeply with engineering. Not by writing tickets, but by thinking together about what to build and what to leave out Set direction and communicate it. Own the roadmap, run the operating cadence, and make trade-offs legible across the business. What You Won't Do Manage a team. Groom a backlog. Spend your days in status meetings. We use Linear, Shape Up, and docs over tickets. Who You Are We’re not looking for a particular background. We’re looking for a particular way of thinking. 5+ years in product roles, with at least some of that time at companies where product management is taken seriously as a discipline. You think in outcomes and tradeoffs, not features and timelines. You’re comfortable making decisions with imperfect information. Strong independent thinker. You don’t wait for permission to solve problems, and you hold yourself to a higher bar than anyone else would set for you. You can hold your own in technical discussions - not writing code, but understanding systems and architecture well enough to have a real opinion. Intellectually curious. Energy markets are deep, complex, and full of structural shifts. You’ll need to learn this domain, and you’re excited by that. You use AI tools to go deeper and move faster - whether that's exploring data, testing ideas, or getting into territory that used to require a specialist. Fluent in English. Clear and precise in writing and speaking. It’s a bonus if you Have direct experience in energy, fintech, or other complex, regulated industries. Have a background that blends analytical rigor with product intuition - ex-consultants, ex-traders, or technical PMs who broadened into strategy. Have experience with Shape Up, or a strong opinion on why most agile processes create more overhead than value. Have worked with systems where the optimization problem is the product. 📍 Location Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model. ✉️ Apply Our corporate language is English, as we have over 30 nationalities in the office. We therefore appreciate it if you could submit your CV in English. 📌 What to expect We respond to every application. The process has four stages: 1. Application review - we review all applications thoughtfully and keep the process moving with timely updates. 2. Introductory conversation - with our Talent team. Mutual fit, expectations, and any questions you have about Flower. 3. Hiring Manager conversation - a deeper discussion about how you think about product, your experience, and what you’d bring to this role. 4. Team conversations - you’ll meet members of the Product and Engineering teams and work through a real problem together. We design the process to be smooth and well-paced, respecting your time and maintaining momentum throughout. --- We kindly but firmly decline any engagement in recruitment assistance for our hiring processes. This includes partnership offers or the sale of recruitment tools.
